Is listening to Americans completely butcher German names.
Joseph Goebbels - Josef Gorboles
Fishberger -
Also, people speaking perfectly english with slight accents get subtitles for some reason.
Everyone is wearing sunglasses, even indoors.

Hearing French speakers do the same is nearly as weird.

I guess most non-native people speaking german sound funny, but americans pronounce it wrong with such gusto that it sounds even better.
French people pronounce it like they don’t care, they know it is wrong , and accept it is wrong, but could not care less.

Language is hard. Thats what it comes down to. :P Unless I lived in or around german speakers for 10 years I’d mess up some names too.

True dat. I work for a German company and had some people visiting from the fatherland last week. I said someone’s name and they just politely giggled and corrected me with something that sounded like forceful ejection of phlegm from the throat.
